Ampacet Natura Shades Collection: Renewable, Bio-Based Colors and Effects

Ampacet, a global masterbatch leader, has introduced the first in the new Natura series of renewable, bio-based colors and effects: the Natura Shades Collection, colors that are at once enveloping, meditative and serene.

While the formulation of dark colors typically requires the use of carbon black, Ampacet pushed the boundaries, leveraging a new bamboo-based colorant as an alternative to the traditional black pigments derived from petroleum or tar that are commonly used in plastics. The collection is suitable for PE/PP injection molding and applications such as furniture, durable goods, housewares and home decor.

“The Natura Shades Collection is a response to our desire to connect more deeply with nature and the world around us.,” says Mercedes Landazuri, Ampacet Market Insight Manager. “The colors evoke a sense of calm and mark a return to ancient ingredients and rituals.”

The six carefully selected hues in the Natura Shades Collection include Charcoal Night, Desert Garnet, Abyss Indigo, Evergreen Depths, Taupe Slate and Sunlit Dunes.
